It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Desirae Davena Barrientos, who left this world far too soon at the age of 37 in San Bernardino, California on July 4, 2025.

Desirae was born on August 6, 1987 in San Bernardino, California to Terri Barrientos and David Tapia.

Desirae was a devoted and loving mother to her two children Adrianna and Richard, Jr. (Sonny). Her greatest joy in life was being a mom, and she poured her heart into raising her children with love, patience, and strength. She worked at Kendall Elementary School, where her kindness and warmth touched the lives of students and colleagues.

She is survived by her children, Adrianna and Richard; her mother, Terri Perea; her father, David Tapia; her sisters, Raquel Barrientos, Raina Amezola, Kristina Aldana, and Sabrina Guerrero; and her brother, Raymond Perea, Jr. Desirae was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Perea.

To those who knew her, Desirae will be remembered for her free spirit and wild heart, her loyalty to her loved ones, and the way she made others feel seen and supported. She was a steady presence, a source of quiet strength, and a beautiful soul who gave more than she took.

A memorial service celebrating Desirae's life will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Outreach Church, located at 990 W. Mill Street, San Bernardino, CA 92410.

Though her time with us was far too short, the love Desirae gave will echo for generations. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
