In Loving Memory of Wendell Paul Van Nortwick January 29, 1957 – July 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend — Wendell Paul Van Nortwick. Born on January 29, 1957, in Canton, Illinois, Wendell was called home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2025, at his home in Menifee, California.

Wendell was a legend in the truest sense — a man of strength, humor, and unwavering love. He was the rock of our family, always providing and sacrificing, no matter the cost. Known for his goofy dance moves and spontaneous singing, Wendell brought light and laughter to every room he entered. He lived a life full of love, always going above and beyond for those he cared about. The world feels dimmer without his presence, but his spirit lives on in all of us.

Wendell is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Jennifer Van Nortwick; his six children — Jenny, Wendy, Peggy, Dusty, Emiley, and Timothy; 21 grandchildren — Cody, Jeremy, Kimberly, Kiley, Trustin, Andrew, Izea, Chloe, Anthony, Christopher, Gizelle, Ryder, Peter, Olivia, Aiden, Scarlett, Ivy, Emmy, Hazel, Oliver, and Miley; and three great-grandchildren — Adaleigh, Ezili, and Aaliyah.

His sister Mary Ellen and brothers from another Mother Thomas and Mike. His son and daughter in laws, Peter, Norbert and Karina
Granddaughter in law Mitzy and Grandson in laws Aiden and Chaz. Not to mention the kids he raised and loved as his own.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
